The Project

This sophisticated project included both an outdoor pool renovation and an indoor therapeutic spa. The original pool was a very traditional style that the customer wanted to upgrade to a more modernized and luxurious outdoor living space. Newly constructed indoors, the at-home spa creates a relaxing zen atmosphere.

The outdoor swimming pool features a custom blend of onyx colored pool plaster that creates a rich teal hue by day and turns a smoky blue at night when lit with the beautiful white LED lights. A hidden black Hydramatic automatic cover keeps the pool warm effectively, cutting down costs as well as maintenance for the customer.

A brand-new water feature was constructed; a series of rectangles including the steppingstones that create a cohesive look tying the water element to the terraced gardens. To further add to its appeal, a brick mosaic pattern was used on the front face of the water feature tiers as well as the pool tile band with its repeating pattern of soot black and steel grey custom made glass mosaic tile.

The indoor therapeutic spa features a cold plunge pool, hot tub and showers. At 4’0” depth, the cold plunge pool is the perfect spot to quickly cool the body down, help reduce pain and relieve inflammation as it numbs the nerves around the joints. The contrast from hot to cold stimulates blood circulation and has the added benefit of a toning effect on the skin. A set of soothing colored LED lights in the hot tub set the mood for tranquility and relaxation.
